Clue Seven: More Style

Rendering the design for the double decker bus, I wanted to explore a variety of colors and see how they could mesh together. Going from the very dark blue to the bright yellow was a way to express the journey one might go on if riding this bus. The colors are fun and ones you might see in a skittle bag or in the movie.

Clue Six: Redesign the Car

Double decker buses have always seemed fanciful and whimsical. I wanted to expand on this idea when redesigning the vehicle. My inspiration for the design draws from "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." I never have liked this movie but I love the art and imaginative world that is created.

The vehicle I chose to redesign was a double decker bus. I find them to be interesting vehicles and whimsical.

Clue Four: Changing Colors

The reading nook with first set of colors. I wanted the space to feel relaxing and welcoming. The blues allowed the space to feel calming.

Clue One: Storytelling in Perspective

For this compostition, I went to the fountain behind the EUC building. This building brings back memories of one of the first conversations I had with my boyfriend. I had no idea the fountain was back there until that night after we went to InterVarsity. I love using watercolors and wanted to give the piece a fun and flowing feeling. For this painting, I wanted to try something different. I grabbed the first pen I could find and began sketching the garden near the statue of Minerva. I went with the green theme using green tones in watercolor. I tried keeping close attention to shadowing. I think the green theme goes quite well with today since it is Earth Day!
